[He's a little surprised at first. And then touched, he can't help a smile when he replies.]

Really? That's wonderful! What do I owe you? [He can't just expect it for free, after all.]

You-- you don't? I never said I wanted payment, I wanted something to work on. Plus I haven't made a violin in like six years, so it was kind of educational.

R-really? I'm not used to people just helping me like that. It seems unfair to have you work so hard on it with nothing in return.

It's not really unfair if I volunteered to do it. I like making stuff. If you wanna tip me, I won't say no exactly, but we never agreed on a price. And I had fun!

[He rubs invisibly at his scruffy beard.]

[Hmm. He bites at his lip for a moment, thinking, and then nods. Even if he can't see it.]

Great! I've been looking for music to listen to when the ship gets a little too quiet. There's some stuff on the network already, but I wanted things that a bard would be able to play. I had a... friend, you could say, who was a really good violinist.

[He misses Johann and feels a little guilty about what happened, even now, but...]

Anyway! Where should I meet you?

[His cheeks are a little heated on his end.]

I'm not sure I'd call myself anything close to a 'bard' exactly.

I'm on the Goldstone right now, but I could go over to the Iskaulit if you would prefer?

Not now, maybe, but when you're older-- you could be, if you wanted. Or a fighter, like me! [Warlock is probably more his wheelhouse considering demonic pacts but... y'know.]

I'm not very strong, unfortunately. I'm good with a gun, and decent at fencing, but otherwise... [He's always been the helpless one.]

I'll be over soon then. The Goldstone got a bit of a kitchen upgrade so I'll bring something as thanks. [By which he means some slightly misshapen, but still good, cookies.]

Hey, fencing's great! I love a good rapier myself. I don't know any of that fancy footwork though. Chop chop!

[Magnus somehow perks up even more at the mention of food.]

I won't turn down free food ever. Seriously.

I'll be out in the main area, I can walk you back. There's some tables and chairs and stuff.

I'm an okay cook, thanks to the augment, but I do like making biscuits- cookies, and things best. If there's something you like especially, I can make that.

Hmmm, nope. I just like food!

[He's lived hand to mouth for so long (so, so long) that he can't really afford to be picky.]

Just make what you feel like, if you feel like anything. And if not that's cool too!
